An ‘appalling tragedy’

-

The appalling tragedy about the catastrophe of the outbreak of COVID 19 is the fact that this pandemic could have been prevented. Its devastating disaster of numerous lives was predicted years ago.

To compound this deprivation of awareness, President Trump’s ignorance and blind characteristic labeling it as a “hoax” only aggravated an invisible and intangible lethal virus.

Now we are suffering from an enemy that encompasses the world without an immediate cure. Our hope is a potential vaccine that scientists are striving to discover. Presently numerous attempts have been unsuccessful and an unwillingness by many to employ proven tools such as masks and accepted distancing have not been observed by many to stop its spread.

While the increase has been seen to lessen to some degree the spread abroad, especially in Brazil has been gigantic truly. Its rampage verifies the prediction by knowledgeable medical scientists that such germs are more likely inevitable. Our only recourse is to not allow ourselves to turn a deaf ear or close our eyes to science. We do not live in a perfect world devoid of imperfection. Everything on the earth, above it, and all around us proves that. Now, however, all we have to do is open our eyes, pay attention to our damaged environment and be unwilling to close our minds to people with potential remedies.
