KEEP AN EYE ON

She’s back: Sophomore guard Anna Makurat is available to return for the Big East Tournament after missing 13 games with a stress fracture in her lower leg. The initial plan is to ease her back into the lineup.

“There will be an opportunity to play her some minutes,” UConn coach Geno Auriemma said. “How much, I don’t know. I’m hoping that it’s just 10 minutes, whatever the case may be, just enough to get her feet wet.”

Makurat is averaging 4.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists in nine games (six starts) this season.

We meet again: UConn won both regularseason meetings handily — 94-62 on Feb. 3 at Gampel Pavilion (without junior Christyn Williams) and 77-32 on Feb. 17 at Carnesecca Arena.

All-Big East guard Leilani Correa dropped 33 points on the Huskies in the first matchup, but scored just two the next time around thanks to a stout defensive effort by Williams.

How’d they get here: The eighth-seeded Red Storm snuck past ninth-seeded Xavier 65-57 in first-round play Friday at Mohegan Sun. Correa, a sophomore, scored a teamhigh 20 points on 8 of 15 shooting, narrowly eclipsing her season average of 18.1. Unique Drake added 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

What’s next?: The winner will advance to face either No. 4 DePaul or No. 5 Villanova in the semifinals on Sunday at 3 p.m.
