Constance Eileen Erdos

Constance Eileen Erdos, age 84 of Stratford, entered into eternal rest on August 17, 2021. She was the loving wife and best friend of the late Stephen Erdos for 53 years. She was born in Bridgeport to the late Charles and Annie Traverse of Stratford. She was predecease­d by her siblings and brother in law Joseph Erdos. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1955. She was employed by Sikorsky for many years. After a full-time job raising her family she went to work for MetLife where she made many lifelong friends.

She was an avid baker and enjoyed cooking. She loved to make soup to share with her entire extended family. She was also a huge UConn women’s basketball fan. She enjoyed crocheting and donated her handiwork to charitable causes. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchild­ren, great grandchild­ren and her faithful companion Biscuit.

She is survived by her three devoted children Stephen Erdos and partner Christine Segala of Prospect, Kenneth Erdos and his wife Lidia of Stratford and Mary Beth Mussatto and her husband Michael of Shelton, her five loving grandchild­ren Stephanie (Erdos) Farrell and her husband Jim, Kenneth and Charles Erdos, Emma and Hannah Mussatto and three great-grandchild­ren James, Christophe­r and Adam Farrell. In addition she leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and friends, her

niece/friend Karen Murdock and her husband James, her sister-in-law Mercy and her husband Paul Ingersoll, Her sister-in-law Lois Erdos and sister-in-law Barbara Saveski.

The family wishes to offer special thanks and gratitude to the Stratford Fire Rescue and EMT’s and the doctors and nurses at Bridgeport hospital.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday August 21, 2021 in the Dennis & D’Arcy Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St., Stratford from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
