Hannelore “Hanna” Voets Kadar passed away peacefully with husband Ron, brother Ralph and friends at her side August 10, 2021 in Viera, Florida. She was born May 10, 1949 to Heinz and Johanna (Krauter) Knothe in Darmstadt, Germany. Hanna and her parents came to America on January 5, 1953, settling in Huntsville, Alabama where Dr. Knothe was a rocket specialist working with Dr. Wernher von Braun and his team. In 1958 the family, by then including brother Ralph, moved to the Space Coast of Florida. After high school and college, Hanna worked her way up the corporate ladder in banking in Texas and Branford, Connecticu­t. After moving to Florida, she worked in retail. She was previously married to Joseph Voets who passed away in 2014 leaving behind several stepsons and their children. They had enjoyed boating and traveling. Hanna’s deepest passion was her devotion to her church St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community where she met Ron Kadar in October 2019. After a year of courtship, they were married October 10, 2020. Hanna was preceded in death by her father Heinz Knothe of Traisa, Germany. She leaves behind her husband Ron; her mother Johanna Ronald of Melbourne, FL; her brother Ralph Knothe (Alicia) of St. Cloud, FL; nephews Matthew Ditzel (Nilda), Christophe­r Knothe (Michelle), Stephan Knothe (Brenda), all of St. Cloud, and niece Michaelene “Micki” Dubois (Michael) of Greenwood, SC. Also she leaves behind her stepdaught­er Deborah Kadar Hull (Fred) of Groveland, MA; stepson Ronald Kadar, Jr. of Fairfield, CT; three step grandchild­ren, Keith Riley (Kathleen) and their three sons; Victoria Hull (fiance Eddie); and Patrick Hull (Rachel) and their two sons of Raymond, NH; and many other family members. Visitation will be at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Road in Fairfield on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial immediatel­y following. Committal will be at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a cancer center of your choosing or to St. Anthony of Padua Church. Arrangemen­ts are in the care of the FAIRFIELD FUNERAL HOME of EDMUND W. DOUGIELLO, 36 South Pine Creek Road.
