Lily Castle, Lewis Mills: Came through with a hat trick in a 5-1 victory over Plainville.

Claire Saunders, Thomaston: Finished with a hat trick in a 6-0 win over Shepaug Valley.

Julia Loughman, Wolcott and Lauren Sonski, Naugatuck: Loughman and Sonski both had hat tricks in Wolcott’s 5-3 win.

GAMES TO WATCH

Suffield at Granby, Tuesday, 6 p.m.: The road to the NCCC regular-season title normally runs through this rivalry.

Sacred Heart Academy vs. Mercy at Xavier, Friday, 3:45 p.m.: Not only a key game in the SCC, but also a rematch of last year’s CIAC Class M state championsh­ip game, which resulted in a scoreless tie and co-champions.

Fairfield Ludlowe at Ridgefield, Saturday, 2 p.m.: Behind two goals from Kate Martin, Ludlowe stunned St. Joseph on the road to move to 7-0. The trip to Tiger Hollow is never an easy one for any FCIAC team.

Hand at Guilford, Monday, 7 p.m.: SCC rivals have already tied once this season (2-2 on Sept. 10). — Joe Morelli
