Protecting society from ‘hate mongers’

-

Having pulled out an old article on “free speech,” the title of the book review by PE Moskowitz, “The Case Against Free Speech” caught my attention. I was putting in the file multiple articles I cut out on “right wing nut case” Alex Jones hate-mongering for my future reference. As an 88-year-old who’s led a fairly eclectic life both professionally and socially involved in various causes, I am more fearful now than at any other time in my life, because of growing numbers of lying, scurrilous reprobates like Alex Jones, Jim Jones, and David Koresh’s hectic zealots who are poisoning our humanity and civilization itself unabated throughout the world.

It’s my belief at this juncture of our evolutional advancements/enhancements with all aligned with our “nanosecond” communicative sources that the way to counter our societal “hate mongers” and spewers of lies, propaganda, dogmas and conspiracy theories is to expose them and make them “publicly admit” their lies/untruths and fabrications to bring about “confession and shame” with added punitive actions for evoking harm on others being purposefully and intently.

The necessity and time to counter what continues to be a more threatening instrument/ vehicle for “societal ruination” without controls and punitive deterrents is inexcusable and destructive to our world at large.

The innate instincts of both harm and survival must now be used to counter today’s “devious corporations” utility via their nanosecond algorithms to detect human thinking and behaviors and to thwart the “info war scam” like the Alex Jones’ and Tucker Carlsons of the world by adhering to the wisdom of Professor Peter Berger when citing what today’s world is missing regarding our “societal ruination”; and that is “accountability, shame, guilt and humility.”

Personal identity has been utilized in so many areas throughout society from driver’s licenses to contractor licensing as examples in the protection of the “general public”; but now must be urgently instituted as the aforementioned requisites that bring about societal “accountability,” guilt and shame which shall act as a deterrent through one’s identity and persona when brought to communal/societal recognition.

If the old adage professed as a young boy is still applicable in today’s world, “the most valuable possession one shall have in life is their reputation” is still true and understood from youth forward the world will be better for it. Our very salvation now (2022) depends on it. Frank C. Rohrig
