-

Daniel Thomas Gargiulo of Bristol, Connecticut, has entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the age of 56, after suffering a long illness. Danny was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Thomas Gargiulo and Nancy Lee Vilardi Petitte. He attended Central High School and graduated from the New England Tractor Trailer School with his CDL, where he worked as a Tractor Trailer driver for more than 30 years.

Danny had a great zest for life, including music of all kinds and was fondly called “Ozzy” by his friends. His passion since the age of 16 was riding his motorcycle; one of his favorite activities that gave him complete joy. Even until the end he purchased a Trike to experience the thrill of riding. While traveling in his Tractor Trailer across the country, he not only found a sense of freedom, but it allowed him to cultivate numerous lifelong friends. Some friends were like family. Both new friends and his amazing childhood friends, he made memories along the way that he cherished.

Danny was predeceased by his father, Thomas Gargiulo FL (Bridgeport) and his grandparents. He is survived by his cherished son, Daniel-Lee Gargiulo (Ashley Roberts), for whom he was immensely proud of; his devoted mother, Nancylee Vilardi Petitte of Bristol (Bridgeport) who he loved, and she loved unconditionally. He honored her with his last words, “you were the best mom ever”. His wonderful sister, Leanora Smith of CA (Bridgeport), who was the cool sister who would send things to help him be comfortable throughout his illness. Because of the distance they were not able to see each other like they used to. Levia Gargiulo of Bristol (Bridgeport) mother hen who took extraordinary care of Danny throughout his long and difficult illness. Danny often shared his gratitude and told everyone she was the best sister anyone could ever hope for. Arlene Volpe who was a “stepmother” along with her children who were like siblings to him; his “second family” from Indiana and his close circle of Bridgeport friends, and relatives and all those who loved him along the way across the US.
