Edward A. Kronick

KRONICK – Edward A. Kronick, age 70, husband to Zenilca T. Kronick, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Bridgeport Hospital. Edward was the son of the late Rita L. Kronick and Stanley J. Kronick and grew up with his five siblings in Westport, Connecticut.

As a young man he worked with his brother James at their father’s car mechanic business and enjoyed a varied career path until finally working at companies including Fujifilm in warehouse shipping and receiving. Throughout his life, Edward traveled across the United States with his former late wife, Susan L. Kronick, and their only daughter, Julie, visiting national parks in nearly every state and camping regularly. As an older man, he was an avid puzzler and enjoyed traveling to Atlantic City with his wife, Zenilca. He was a devoted family man to his wife, stepdaughter and her two children, opening his heart and home to them.

Edward is survived by his wife Zenlica (Nette) of Trumbull; his daughter, Julie Kronick of Queens, NY; his stepdaughter, Pollyanna Oliveria of Stratford, and her two daughters Marianna and Giovanna; his brothers Robert C. Kronick (Sandra) of Southington, John F. Kronick (Yvette) of Whittier, CA, and James S. Kronick (Anita) of Norwalk; and sisters, Carole R. Keen ( James) of Ormond Beach, FL and Lillian Slater ( Jeffrey) of Bridgeport; and his nieces and nephews Victoria, Natalie, Rebecca, Joshua, Caleb, Aaron, Seth, Elizabeth, Daniel and Stephanie.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, April 11 beginning at 8:30AM in the FAIRFIELD FUNERAL HOME of EDMUND W. DOUGIELLO, 36 South Pine Creek Road. This will be followed by funeral services at Gate of Heaven in Trumbull at 11:00AM.
