Ronald Ruben Schulman May 21, 1936 - September 22, 2023

Ronald Ruben Schulman, age 87 of Delray Beach, FL and formerly of Westport, CT passed away peacefully at home September 22nd surrounded by his loving wife and family members.

Ronnie was born in The Bronx, NY on May 21, 1936 to Julia Baena Schulman and Jerry Schulman and was raised in Stratford, CT. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1954. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Bridgeport in 1957.

Ronnie was the proud owner of Katz Quality Furniture in Bridgeport, CT for forty years. His entrepreneurial interests extended to the creation of Wynn Mortgage Corporation, Stratford Saveway Tire Company and several other endeavors.

His commitment to his entire family was ever-present and never-ending, and his generosity and love were unconditional. Ronnie, was his adored grandchildren’s ever-ready playmate, cheerleader and support system. His primary concern was always that those he loved “lived their best life”.

He is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn Schulman,

his children William (Roxana) Schulman, Robert (Nancy) Schulman, David (Gloria) Schulman, Michelle Katz, and Marc (Debbie) Katz, his treasured grandchildren Justin (Rocio) Schulman, Julia Rosier, Zoey Rosier, Miles Katz, Jack Rosier, Olivia Katz, Joanna Schulman Edwards, Katherine Schulman, Ian Schulman, Juliette Schulman, great-grandchildren Ariana Rose Schulman and Sophia Lynn Schulman, brother Robert (Bob) Schulman and sister-in-law Marge Schulman, formerly of Trumbull, CT.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road Fairfield, CT. Following a private family burial at Temple Beth El Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT, Shiva will be observed on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the home of Marc and Debbie Katz, 5 North Pasture Road, Westport, CT.
