GAMES TO WATCH Greenwich at New Canaan, Thursday, noon:

Stop 1 on your FCIAC road trip is at No. 1 New Canaan, where the Rams finish their first half after a stellar start. The No. 8 Cardinals have had their early ups and downs, but their ups have been very good. This is their toughest test yet, of course.

Ridgefield at Darien, Thursday, 3 p.m.:

Stop 2, where both teams crossed the New York border and came back with wins on Tuesday: No. 5 Ridgefield smoked Mahopac coming off a loss to New Canaan, and No. 3 Darien kept its roll going with a handy win over Yorktown.

Northwest Catholic at Conard, Thursday, 5 p.m.:

Just two of the last three unbeaten teams in Class L (Conard 6-0, NWC 4-0, Enfield 3-0) and crosstown buddies meeting up. Conard has wins over Somers, Trumbull and Norwich Free Academy the past week.

Wilton at Staples, Thursday, 5:30 p.m.:

Stop 3, the defending FCIAC champ against last year’s Class L champ. Staples is coming off losses at Darien and St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) to fall out of the No. 1 spot to No. 4. No. 7 Wilton has yet to lose outside Westchester County.

Glastonbury at Southington, Thursday, 6 p.m.:

Southington bulked up the schedule some and has earned a win over Hand and respectable losses to playoff teams

in Notre Dame-West Haven and St. Joseph. This one isn’t part of the bulk-up, of course, a league game, but the No. 9 Guardians are a big test.

Glastonbury at Cheshire, Saturday, 1 p.m.:

Glastonbury has played two top-10 teams, losing 7-3 to New Canaan and 11-4 to Wilton. Here’s their third, against No. 6 Cheshire, which has won four in a row going into Thursday since its own New Canaan loss.

St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) at Darien, Saturday, 1 p.m.:

The Friars are No. 5 in Inside Lacrosse’s national rankings and No. 6 in USA Lacrosse Magazine’s. They beat Staples 15-9 on Tuesday.

Conard at Daniel Hand (Surf Club), Monday, 6 p.m.:

Hand is a regular deep into June, a CIAC finalist six times since 2015. The Tigers looked like a team set to compete for the Class M title. But going into Thursday they’ve lost six straight after an opening win, two of them by one goal, one by two goals, one by three. Get them in and they can be plenty dangerous, but they can only afford three losses the rest of the way. Conard and Hand have met five times since 2017, and Hand has won each of them. This would be a big feather in Conard’s cap.

Greenwich at Fairfield Ludlowe, Tuesday, 6 p.m.:

The poll says these teams are relatively close. The LaxNumbers.com rankings, on which CIAC tournaments are seeded, say these teams are relatively close, though it’s a little early to be swearing too hard by those numbers. What the heck: Shall we see what the scoreboard says?
