Fall is the perfect time to take your gatherings outdoors and enjoy the beauty of the autumn landscape. The golden leaves and soft light make every backdrop glow, and it’s a nice way to enjoy your outdoor spaces before it’s time to button up for colder weather. Take some inspiration from this barn-side setting and throw together an easy yet elegant affair using these simple ingredients.

1. SOFTER SHADES OF THE SEASON

Orange pumpkins celebrate fall in a classic way, but a few pink and red blooms are all you need to add a unique touch to your setting. Late-summer dahlias make stunning centerpiece flowers and make the arrangements extra special.

2. VINTAGE TOUCHES

Old books add a vintage texture to the tabletop and offer a way to display your centerpiece elements with dynamic varying heights. By using something with patina for your flower vase, you add a rich and warm elevated feel to your décor.

3. MIX UP YOUR SEATING

To balance out these elegant elements, keep things interesting with casual chairs and benches. They make your outdoor area feel relaxed and welcoming.

4. ADD MORE FOLIAGE

For the extra oomph, don’t be afraid to play up the fall leaves in your décor. Here we created a simple oak-leaf wreath. You can get the same feel even more easily by arranging branches of fall leaves in a vessel or as a garland to hang on a backdrop or archway.
