Stockholm, Sweden, resident Sebastian Bergström

loves color; the more intense the hue, the better. This makes perfect sense with only five and a half hours of daylight in the depths of Swedish winters, and vibrant, bright colors are said to promote a cheerful mood. “Everyone is affected by color,” says Sebastian. “I wanted to design a space that made me happy whenever I come home. Colorful, energetic and maximalist more than minimalism is my style. Red, yellow, orange, blue and grass greens are colors that lift my mood.”

An interior freelancer and a blogger to Sweden’s biggest interior magazine, Sköna Hem, Sebastian writes inspiring content for design companies and collaborates with other designers on his Instagram account. With 78.9k followers under the hashtag @mosebacke, he posts about a variety of home fashions, flowers, projects and breakfast. Sebastian shines in the kitchen. “Cooking for me is creative,” he says, “I like to discover delicious dishes, and breakfast here in Sweden is a very important meal of the day.”

Travel is high on Sebastian’s list for recreation, and he shares his adventures wherever he visits—the island of Gotland, Paris and his house in the Swedish countryside. “I blog about my everyday life happenings, my favorite breakfast places, how I decorate and the many flea markets around Europe,” says Sebastian. He also takes private interior design assignments and creates inspiring, creative content for brands and companies.

Sebastian embodies a fearless aesthetic and believes that color has the power to not only transform a room but also mood as well. His account is an ode to every color in the rainbow, with each post leaving you happy, lively and crushing on color.
