Lynch Creek Farm

How one family grew greens, and a business, together

If you’ve been the fortunate gift recipient of

a Lynch Creek Farm wreath, garland or bouquet, you know the fragrant beauty that awaits within each carefully prepared box. But you may not know the heart-warming story behind the family-owned business. Owners Andy and Tracey Hunter share the story with us.

Lynch Creek Farm began in 1980 as a hobby farm in Shelton, Washington. In the early days of the farm, Andy’s parents grew organic vegetables and sold their produce at the Shelton Farmers Market on the weekends. Later, the farm broadened to include seasonal bouquets and evergreen Christmas wreaths, which allowed them to stay at the market through the winter season. By the 1990s, the couple began selling fresh flower bouquets out of a small house on their property, originally built for Gramma Hunter, and eventually expanding to a shop downtown. Andy joined in on wreath-making activities during college breaks, and admittedly enjoyed it, although he could not say the same for the vegetable picking.

Through the 1990s and 2000s, the business grew; then his parents were able to retire, and Andy and his wife, Tracey, took over the reins. With excellent customer service, the addition of online sales and a yearly color catalog, Lynch Creek Farm is now

operating from a total of 200,000 square feet on 15 acres of land with almost 500 employees and many more support staff. Their team of 20 bow makers are hand-tying bows all year long to get ready for the next Christmas season.

“As we continue to grow and expand, our priorities remain the same. We are committed to making and shipping beautiful, high-quality evergreen Christmas products every single time. We will employ only the best people, who care for the company and its values, and along the way, we will, as always, have fun. Thank you to all our customers who have supported the farm for so many years. It truly means the world to us!” says Andy.
