Nissa-Lynn’s Christmas Decorating Tips

-

• “First is lighting. I put Christmas lights everywhere! I buy short strands of lights at Target or Amazon and place them on consoles and entryway tables. I also put them in garlands and wreaths and as use them as coffee table décor.”

• “Other key pieces I use to make Christmas shine are plastic Christmas balls. You can buy them inexpensively in bulk at craft and hobby stores. I always mix silver and red ones in all different textures. For example, I use red and silver glitter balls, matte balls and balls in all different shapes and sizes. They look so glamorous, festive and fun.”

“Next comes ribbon. I buy new ribbon every year, but I never throw old ribbons away unless they’re worn out. Ribbon is another super-economical way to add Christmas flair to everything. You can tie ribbons on candlesticks, packages, jars and stockings. I use a variety of ribbons on my Christmas trees, and I love to mix and match different patterns to create interest.”

Creating Christmas sugar jars (a decorating necessity!) with tiny tin houses is a fun an easy project for the entire family.
