Looking to inject your Christmas spirit

with pops

of color and quirk?

Artist Caroline Chriss probably has just the accents and accessories for you. Known for her seaside landscape paintings, which she’s also translated into silk scarves and stationery (offered at Serena & Lily), Caroline has created a special holiday collection, where she brings her sea-inspired style, organic coastal vibe and fresh brand of fun and humor to the Christmas party with cards, gift wrap and ornaments.

“I wanted my holiday line to echo the playful details that come across in my seascapes,” Caroline says. “It’s about bringing a breath of fresh (salt) air and a winter-at-the-beach-bungalow aesthetic to your home, while also maybe bringing a laugh to friends and family.”

That whimsy isn’t just an afterthought in Caroline’s own

Christmas decorating style; it’s kind of the point. “You are bound to find coastal-inspired accents with bright whites and pops of colors in my home during the holidays,” she says. “The inspiration for me both for my home and for what I create is that awe of the magic of Christmas. It’s part of my inner spirit that translates into an always colorful celebration of the holiday season. One of my favorite parts of the holidays is the art of gift giving. I believe that the packaging itself can be just as fun as the actual gift, and so presentation is key! For me, the holidays are not just a day, but a creative experience of laughter and warmth that always needs to be shared with family and friends.”

[3] Caroline uses art for what she believes is one of its greatest strengths: the ability to transport viewers’ minds to a moment, scene or feeling they may never want to forget. These wreath ornaments filled with beach scenes reflect her favorite moments.

From llama gift wrap to fun and funny holiday cards (“I’ll be Ham for Christmas”), Caroline’s holiday collection is about color and whimsy.
