ALL EYES ON YOU

Country Sampler Autumn Decorating SIP 2018 - - Inside - DESIGNED AND PHOTOGRAPHED BY CHRIS ROY FOR THEGRAPHICSFAIRY.COM.

These floating felt eyeballs that Chris Roy created for The Graphics Fairy will make everyone want to take a closer look. Start with eight readymade white felt balls, or follow the tutorial on Thegraphicsfairy.com to make eight felt balls from wool roving. Select colors of wool roving for each iris and pupil. For each eyeball, place a small amount of the iris color on the ball and poke your felting needle up and down until the fibers felt together. Add an even smaller amount of your pupil color on top of the iris and needle felt into place. To display your eyeballs, twist a length of floral wire in half, and insert the sharp end into the eyeball. Add a dab of glue if necessary. Poke eight tiny holes in a row on one side of a paper towel tube and insert the eyeball stems into the holes. Apply strips of tape around the base of the wires for stability. Hot glue moss over the cardboard tube.
