Country Sampler Autumn Decorating SIP 2018 - - Inside - DESIGNED AND PHOTOGRAPHED BY LINDSEY JOHNSON OF HELLOGLOW.CO.

Store-bought potpourri often has an artificial scent that can be overpowering, to put it mildly. Lindsey Johnson at Hello Glow made her own custom potpourri with a variety of dried fruits, nuts and spices. For a similar mix, combine dried apple slices, dried orange slices, whole in-shell nuts, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, Juniper berries, dried rose hips, Laurel (bay) leaves, pinecones, and essential oils such as cedar wood, clove, cinnamon, orange and pine. Don’t worry about measuring your ingredients; Lindsey just adds bigger handfuls of the larger items and smaller handfuls of the smaller items. Place everything into a jar, sprinkle with the essential oils and gently toss. Then, divide into small bowls or compotes and place around your home.

CUSTOMIZE IT Gather ingredients from your own yard or garden to create a one-of-a-kind mix.
