Christmas Kitchen

Country Sampler - Christmas Decorating - - INSIDE - DESIGNED AND PHOTOGRAPHED BY ANITA DIAZ OF ANITAFARABOVERUBIES.COM.

Holiday celebrations often end up in the kitchen, so make yours cheery and fun for the season. Anita Diaz at Far Above Rubies loves displaying items from her childhood alongside plenty of greenery. Fill open shelves with dishware in a red or green palette and little Yuletide accessories. Add touches of gold for a more festive look. Include a favorite antique or vintage item, such as Anita’s 1960s radio. Set a small tree nearby (Anita dug up this hemlock from her own property!) and wrap the base with plaid fabric. Drape it with popcorn strings, glass beads and light strands. Create snowflakes and fans from old sheet music and distribute them around the tree along with glass ball ornaments, clip-on candles and other favorite items.

Skip the star tree topper; fold sheet music into a fan to adorn the top of your tree instead.
