Arrange a few coordinated pieces in a small space, and voilà— a breakfast nook is born.
Ace of space. Select a cubby or side area in the kitchen that will comfortably accommodate at least two people—large bay and bow window areas are perfect spots.
Inventive adaptation. Think beyond the traditional dinette, especially in a particularly tight spot. Instead, employ a small multiuse drop-leaf table, which can be moved elsewhere, if necessary, and will still blend in seamlessly with your home’s decor.
Delightful details. Position a small chandelier directly above the nook and punctuate the windows with a pretty valance and panels for a cohesive, coordinated look.
