Old-Timey Candlestick

This vintage-style candleholder is actually a very basic porcelain pull-chain lamp holder found in the lighting department at a home improvement store. Choose a lamp holder and then purchase a rubber grommet that will fit snugly inside the socket. Paint the grommet antique gold or brass. Attach a gold star jewelry charm onto the lamp holder's pull chain. Push the bottom of a real or battery-operated taper candle through the painted grommet. Insert the candle and grommet into the socket and push downward. The candle should fit snugly with no movement.
