Country Sampler Special Edition
An old house post makes a lovely small-space display piece, as Leslie Davis of Deeply Southern Home discovered. For a similar look, find a post that stands about 5' tall. Using a small tack, attach a length of twine to the top of the post, and then twist randomly down the post. To keep the twine in place, attach small pieces of poster putty at different spots and tuck the twine into the crevices of the post as you wrap. Tack off the twine at the bottom. Decorate the top of your post with greenery and ribbons, and attach cards to the twine with miniature clothespins.
