Repaint a Christmas Village

Inexpensive ceramic houses can become a custom holiday display with a little paint, glitter and faux snow. Christy James at Confessions of a Serial DIYer found these mini village pieces at a thrift store and painted them blue to match her serene Christmas palette. Give your own houses a base coat of spray primer and let dry. Then, spray with your chosen color, such as Christy's robin's egg hue. Spray with a second coat and dust with glitter while wet. Arrange your buildings on a white tray with a few mini trees and add plenty of extra-fine faux snow.
