Patterned Centerpiece Base

Give your centerpiece a graphic anchor with popular encaustic-look tiles. These tiles are offered in many patterns and colors at home improvement stores. Choose four tiles that create a larger pattern when grouped together. Paint the outer edges with a complementary color and then attach nonskid or cork pads on the underside. Group the tiles in the center of the table and then arrange bottle-brush trees and candles on top. For larger tables, place two groups of tiles together to create a rectangular runner.
