TUMBLED STONE TILES

For an old-world, weathered look, consider tumbled stone tiles. The tumbling process wears down the edges and softens the finish of the tiles and enhances the natural pitted texture of materials like travertine. Install the tiles in a diamond pattern to break up the strong vertical and horizontal lines found in most kitchens. Draw the eye even more with a warm color that pops against cool-toned cabinetry.
