Country Sampler Special Edition
White cabinetry doesn’t have to look plain or nondescript. The aged finish on these cabinets in Heidi Parson’s previous kitchen turns them into a showpiece. Although Heidi worked with a professional, you could get a similar look by painting cabinets white, distressing edges and random areas to expose the wood underneath, and then applying an antiquing glaze. The best part of working with glaze is that you can start with a small amount for a subtle look and then apply more until you’re satisfied with the finish. Be sure to work plenty of glaze into corners, grooves and surface details to provide necessary contrast.
