DOORWAY TO THE PAST

Swap plain pantry doors for a weathered pair that once graced the entry of a country general store. Debra Wittrup of Caruth Studio found these doors advertising Bond Bread at a flea market and thought they'd be perfect for bringing a nostalgic small-town-market look to a kitchen. To enclose the shelves of a reach-in pantry, install the doors using new hinges and then add a couple of old-fashioned pulls. If your doors feature chipping paint, consider applying a matte sealer over the finish before installation.
