CARD TABLE UPGRADE

Folding card tables are great for get-togethers and parties, but their simplistic design leaves much to be desired. Caitlin McGrath of The Merrythought gave hers a rustic wood top that looks stylish but still allows the table to be folded up and stored away. To refresh your table, spray-paint the legs and then arrange wood planks to form a new top that will have a ¼" overhang on all sides of the table. Frame the edges with four pieces of wood, securing with glue and nails. Sand the wood and seal with polyurethane. Attach the new top by driving wood screws through the metal sides of the table.
