REPURPOSED HUTCH TOP

Not every home has space for a large two-piece hutch. For shelf storage, consider removing the top of a hutch and using it as a stand-alone unit on the floor. Build a simple wood base and install casters to easily move the piece anywhere you need storage or display space. Fill the shelves with stacks of dishes and a basket of dish towels or table linens. For concealed storage, whitewash a few bushel baskets and stencil a number on each in black.
