The Joy of Crafting One

-

of my favorite childhood Christmas activities that I miss the most is setting aside time to craft special gifts for my family and friends. It was always so gratifying to work on one-of-a-kind keepsakes, knowing they would be more appreciated than anything I could buy at a store. I recall one year collecting empty pickle and mayonnaise jars and turning them into snow globes filled with Santas, snowmen and nutcracker figurines. That fun memory came rushing back to me recently when I found this cute project featured on www.joann.com.

Rather than race around shopping for mass-produced presents, I think I’ll stop at the craft store instead to buy all the trimmings and devote my time to creating handmade mementos. We hope you are inspired to personalize your gift-giving, too! Merry Christmas!
