Sweet Sachets
Keep kids busy during Christmas break with an easy DIY project. Ask them to help you put together scented sachets that look like colorful confections by rolling dried balsam needles and spices into bundles made from scraps of a vintage checkered shirt. Simply cut the scraps into your desired shapes and sizes using pinking shears. Fill with the evergreen mixture and roll into a ball or cylinder. Cinch at each end with a length of twine or ribbon. Place in a drawer, tuck into a bed pillow, or stock a basket with assorted fabric bonbons to add holiday fragrance to any room in the house.
