Rather than placing plantings in a standard window box or clay pot, upcycle an orphaned drawer for containing blooms. Fill the drawer bottom with ½ inch of pea gravel for drainage. Arrange six to eight pansy plants in the drawer and cover their roots with fresh potting soil. Water and position the planter in a sunny place on your steps or front porch, or use it as a centerpiece on your picnic table.
