For those with a notion for nostalgia, this charming spool-studded wreath is the perfect addition to a sewing or craft room. Cover various sizes of plain wood spools with scraps of ribbon or fabric or even strips of scrapbook paper. Choose a variety of small patterns and solid colors that complement each other. Wrap a wire wreath frame with 6"-wide burlap ribbon and attach the decorated spools to the burlap-covered frame, gluing or wiring them in place. Crown the completed wreath with a multi-loop bow made from coordinating gingham ribbon.
