René likes to experiment with her vignettes until she settles on one specific look, and the alternate display on the opposite page still shines with Americana spirit. In place of the welcome sign, she draped a plaid tablecloth over the door and topped it with the pennant banner. A vintage shortening tin potted with geraniums and a tall topiary stand in for the tiered tray, while a message drawn on an old chalkboard with a liquid chalk marker sets a celebratory mood.
