Cindy Mack Taggart collects musical instruments, many of which are family heirlooms. “I collect memories through decor,” she says. “I am very sentimental. My Grandma Allen’s piano is an old upright antique with ornate detailing—I grew up playing on that piano.” When Cindy and her husband, Joel, bought the house, there was a weathered piano left on the back porch. She uses parts from that piano in her design scheme in the living room’s dining spot. “I use them as decoration and conversation pieces.”
