Nativity Know-How

-

A cherished Nativity scene deserves prominent placement for major impact and reverence. Gary designed a standout display for his grandmother’s vintage porcelain crèche so it can be admired from anywhere in the front room and even from the outdoors through the double windows. Follow his lead on doing the same with your honored heirloom.

1. Elevate the Look.

Raise the stage for your Nativity scene to about eye level, perhaps by stacking a wood chest atop a table or cabinet.

2. Top It Off.

Frame the backdrop with an upper border such as a long wall shelf. Fill its pegs with just a few large-scale artifacts that won’t clash with the delicate figurines.

3. Get Glowing.

Draw eyes and hearts with strategically placed lights that radiate with glimmer and warmth. Four flickering candles act as footlights for the stage above, while a single bulb at the top of the manger spotlights the reason for the season.
