SWEET and SIMPLE

Compose a vignette with unusual objects such as flower frogs used as stands for clockfaces and a pair of unbound books rescued from the recycling. Jan also arranged a trio of lovely pocket watches in an ironstone soap dish for this display. A small potted plant brings a dash of color. “I love to add stacks of ironstone as part of our decor,” Jan explains. “I also like to use flowers and plants.”

This green refuse barrel enjoys new life as a one-of-akind side table with French flair, while a window frame upcycled as wall art draws the eye to a comfortable armchair in a corner of Jan’s living room.
