A ROBIN’S SONG

Call forth the sweet sounds of spring with a vignette that infuses a bedroom with relaxation and hope. The antique violin and its case, priced at just $20 at an antiques store, inspired René to use both in one grouping. To recreate her display, trace the shape of your violin case onto two pages of sheet music and trim the paper to line the lid. Gently press into place, tacking with glue if needed. Position longstemmed faux florals in the wider end of the case facing opposite directions and set a bird’s nest atop the stems. Rest the violin on edge within the case, and adorn the nest with a bird figurine. Imitate the verdant grass of spring by draping a bright green throw under the violin case and including additional sheet music nearby.
