Liven Up a Planter

Put some color on a humble metal planter to fashion a thriving focal point. Brush a light coat of paint stain over the ridged metal to highlight the design. Let dry, and then apply two coats of whitewash over the paint stain. When dry, fill the planter with flowers or herbs.
