Show and Store. Choose accent pieces for practicality as well as decoration. Recruit a jelly cabinet or bureau to store linens and toiletries. Stash cotton swabs and puffs in canning jars. Hang a small shelf near the tub to hold a soap dish, and paint it the same color as the wall.
Vamp Up a Vanity. A custom vanity built from wood salvaged after the fire is topped with a sleek contemporary vessel sink to evoke the porcelain washbasins of times gone by. Wall-mounted taps are trickier to install than deck mounts, but cleanups are breezier.
