PERSONALITY ON PARADE

Celebrate the days when wardrobes were more formal by arranging a grouping around a framed photograph on a bench at the foot of the bed. Carolynn applied a paint treatment of grays and tans to remake the bench for this room and paired it with an outdated suitcase and a small trunk. Include a scarf spilling from a handbag—or from a purse-shaped planter like Carolynn’s—and a set of ladies’ embroidered handkerchiefs in a box nestled next to ladies’ glasses. Top a petite stool with patterned neckties, and set a box of men’s handkerchiefs in original packaging and a pair of men’s glasses on the bench.
