A YEAR OF CELEBRATION!
We are very excited to announce that 2024 marks our 40th anniversary, and as part of this milestone we are expanding both the number of pages and articles in each magazine!
Starting with this Spring issue, we have added 16 pages and four new sections to the magazine. Here’s what’s in store as we begin this journey toward bigger quarterly issues with loads of inspiration, ideas and creativity:
✿ Create & Decorate (pages 20–27): As she has done for several years, Country Sampler stylist Carolynn Geesaman shares styling tricks and DIY projects that can be adapted for any look.
✿ Country Homes Showcase (pages 28–96): These beautiful home tours will now cover a wider variety of country styles and be enhanced with larger photos and more tips about the unique ideas in each room. This issue, you’ll visit five refreshing homes brightened with spring and Easter decorations.
✿ Standout Spaces (pages 98–106): This section will continue to highlight individual rooms, such as kitchens, dining rooms and bedrooms, as well as help you make the most of the distinctive elements in your rooms.
✿ NEW! Antiques & Collections (pages 108–114): Collectors will provide historical facts, shopping advice and easy ways to create beautiful displays.
✿ NEW! Outdoor Living (pages 116–117): We’ll show you how to incorporate decor into outdoor areas to turn them into cozy retreats.
✿ NEW! The Country Experience (pages 118–121): Features will focus on activities and places that personify this lifestyle.
✿ NEW! Inspiring Ideas (pages 122–126): This section offers before-andafter makeovers, clever repurposing hints and simple style for every season.
Along with these new sections, we also are commemorating our 40th anniversary with a special series of articles that reflect on the evolution of country decorating over the last four decades. This time, we share fun facts surrounding our history and reminisce about 20 popular trends from the 1980s (pages 8–17). Who could forget heart-themed accessories, whimsical geese, light-blue and mauve palettes, small-print wallpaper and charming folk art, among other iconic designs?
And, for the 28th year, it’s time to search for 12 golden eggs hidden inside (pages 8–126) for your chance to win $1,000!
