STARS AT NIGHT

These festive luminaries are as much fun as the fireworks.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

3 jar lids with wire hangers Spray paint, optional 3 quart-sized Mason jars

Star stickers or a star template and adhesive sheet

Red, white and blue acrylic craft paint

Decoupage glue

3 tea lights or three strings of battery-operated mini lights Small paintbrush

DIRECTIONS

1 Spray-paint lids, if desired. Dry thoroughly. 2 Using template, if needed, cut out star stickers from adhesive sheet. Cover jars in a decorative pattern with stickers. 3 Paint one jar red, one white and one blue with acrylic paint. Dry thoroughly. Repeat with a second coat of paint. 4 Carefully remove stickers. Touch up paint as needed and dry thoroughly. 5 Paint a coat of decoupage glue over each jar and dry thoroughly. 6 Insert lights into jars. Top with lids.
