A fashionable carrier for your favorite casserole.

This versatile carrier can work for a range of casserole dishes. Cut 2 prewashed, corresponding fabrics to 23-in. squares. Cut a piece of reflective, insulated batting, such as Insul-Bright, to the same size. Layer 1 fabric, right-side up, on top of batting. Pin a 7-in. piece of 1-in.-wide webbing at 1 corner, 1½ in. from the corner point. Pin other end 1½ in. down the other side of the point, creating a loop. Repeat on opposite corner. Layer second fabric right-side down on top of the pile, sandwiching loops inside. Pin layers. Stitch edge, using ½-in. seam allowance and leaving a 6-in. opening on 1 side. Turn right-side out, press and pin the opening closed. Topstitch along sides close to edge with coordinating thread. Stitch a second time, ¼ in. off the first seam. Fold under ½ in. of both ends of a 22-in. length of webbing. Pin to the inside of the carrier on opposite corners of loops, positioning folded end 1½ in. from point. Topstitch securely in place with coordinating thread. Place a casserole in center of carrier, pull handle through the two loops to secure and head out to the party!
