Iron-on vinyl sheet
3 yd. extra-wide double-fold bias tape in coordinating color 9-ft. 3mm elastic cord
Scissors
Iron
Straight pins
Large blunt needle
DIRECTIONS
1 Wash and dry bandannas. 2 Cut a circle from each bandanna to a diameter to fit desired bowls—standard sizes are 11, 13 and 15 in. 3 Cut a coordinating piece of iron-on vinyl for each circle and apply according to the manufacturer’s instructions. 4 Fold bias tape around outer edge of circle, overlapping ends 1 in. Pin in place. Topstitch bias tape around circle, leaving a 1½ in. opening to insert elastic. 5 Cut a length of elastic 2 in. longer than circumference of the circle. Insert elastic through bias tape, using blunt needle, carefully working elastic around the circle. Cinch elastic to fit bowl and tie ends together in a secure square knot. Stitch opening closed. 6 Repeat the process with remaining 2 bandanna circles. 7 To clean, wipe with a damp cloth or hand-wash in cold water and hang to dry.
