Known for her modern paintings of Northern New Mexico’s flowers and natural landscapes, artist Georgia O’Keeffe is an icon in the state known as the Land of Enchantment.
The state’s stark landscape, high desert terrain and adobe architecture were constant sources of inspiration for her abstract works. According to the Smithsonian, Georgia O’Keeffe was “one of the most revolutionary painters of the 20th century.”
