Country

FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS,

-

we journeyed a well-trodden path through the woods to the Tuckers, who generously supplied our growing family with apples from the orchard, vegetables from the garden and lots of love. As the Tuckers grew older, we in turn gave back with hot meals and warm visits on cold winter days. When Mrs. Tucker passed away, her husband was lonely and our connection grew stronger. He so enjoyed Country magazine and finding the needle. He would anxiously wait for my visit and smile and say, “It’s a hard one this month.” I would tuck the magazine under my arm, head home and study the pages until I was able to locate it. This guaranteed another visit so that Mr. Tucker could verify that I had it correct. He has been gone a year now and is so greatly missed. Your magazine is a lovely reminder of what a blessing good neighbors can be in our lives.
