.Get to your destination a few days ahead to visit “must-sees” that might not be included in the program itinerary.

.All-inclusive means stress free! Road Scholar took care of food, housing, permits, tips, fees and the cost of transportation.

.Create a way for fellow travelers to upload and share photos. Road Scholar uses a free service, but a Facebook page works, too. It was wonderful to see things that I had missed!

.Be honest in your abilities. I was open about my concerns and the guides were kindly encouraging. Safety first!

.Invest in trekking poles. They take the pressure off your knees!
