Dignity of Earth & Sky
CHAMBERLAIN, SOUTH DAKOTA
On a road trip out West with his wife, sister and daughter, reader Doug Buberl of Stillwater, Minnesota, stopped to see the Dignity of Earth & Sky sculpture. The statue of a Native American woman was sculpted by Dale Lamphere to honor the native nations of the Great Plains. It stands on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River. “For a minute we forgot there was a pandemic,” Doug writes. travelsouthdakota.com
