VINTAGE DECORATIONS

-

As I read the story about Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, in the Dec/Jan issue (page 20), I saw the picture of the Shiny Brite ornaments. I thought, Those look familiar. I realized I have some. They have been in my family for my 71 years and I don’t know how much longer. They go on my tree every year! Thank you for the article and for your wonderful magazine.

I read “Volunteer Vacation” in the Oct/Nov issue (page 54) and was inspired. What a wonderful way to see the world or the States! The quilting story was served up like a batch of Momma’s home-baked bread on Sunday (page 36).

I could picture all the beautiful patchwork quilts and fabric galore clearly in my mind’s eye. It’s nice to see the crazy-fun things others do, like the pumpkin races (page 10). And thanks to Jason for using his photography to help save the manatees (page 24). Country is chock-full of good, and has so much variety. I love it! Thanks so much for producing such a wonderful, soul-filling magazine.
