WESTERN PLEASURE GUEST RANCH
DEEP IN THE NORTHERN ROCKIES, in the upper tip of Idaho near the Canadian border, Western Pleasure Guest Ranch is surrounded by Kaniksu National Forest and near the northern shore of Lake Pend Oreille. There are only six guest rooms in the lodge and four private hand-hewn log cabins with comfy porches and warmth from wood-fired stoves.
Their ranch-raised horses accommodate both beginner and experienced riders and morning and afternoon rides take you into the north Idaho mountains, valleys and meadows surrounding the ranch. They also usually do a full-day ride to Grouse Creek Falls for swimming, or a ranch perimeter ride to catch awesome views of the Selkirk and Cabinet mountain ranges.
When you get saddle sore, sign up to try your hand at skeet shooting, archery, roping, or exploring the trails on an eBike, a mountain bike or by foot.
Western Pleasure Guest Ranch is family-owned and operated with five generations of ranch roots. It also o ers stays during the colder fall, winter and spring months. These can include sleigh rides and Nordic skiing retreats. westernpleasureranch.com
